Dreambert and Bedsmith, two creatures of the Pi’illo species, wake up one morning without remembering who they are, where they are or how they arrived. They are in a strange house in an unknown city, feeling lost and confused. Just when panic appears, a peculiar man named Wonky appears, claiming to be his father. He suggests that they must have passed out while watching television the night before, but before he can explain more, the situation becomes even strange. A creature called Starlow, of the Star Sprite species, arrives, insisting that she is her friend. She says they had plans to hang out, but Dreambert and Bedsmith do not remember her or these plans. They are reluctantly, they follow Starlow outside, insecure of their surroundings. They walk through the city, acting as if they didn’t recognize the environment or the Starlow. Despite their confusion, Starlow continues to interact with them as if they had been friends for a long time. While showing them, Starlow patiently explains his supposed friendship and names, trying to reassure them. Dreambert and Bedsmith, however, remain disoriented and unable to make sense of their past or connection with Starlow. As the day continues, Starlow worries more, initially thinking they are pretending to forget. But as her strange behavior persists, she begins to worry that something is very bad with her memories. At the end of the day, Starlow’s uncertainty deepens, and wonders if there is anything else behind his oblivion. Dreambert and Bedsmith are sent back to the house where they woke up for the first time, and Wonky-Still claims to be his father provides them with a bed that feels unknown. Too tired and confused to protest, accommodate at night. As they sleep, their minds are full of questions about their identities, their past and the cause of its sudden amnesia. The mystery of his lost memories looms without response while unfolding in a restless dream, not knowing what the future holds.
